Taste of Cork Event: Zoe Conway & Early Supper

Supper at Ballymaloe House is at 6.30pm and the show starts and 8pm. €80 per person. SUNDAY 16th October 2016

Enjoy an early supper at Ballymaloe House followed by some of Ireland's most exciting traditional music in celebration of Taste Cork Week. 

This new group brings together the dazzling talents of three of the country's finest traditional musicians: fiddle player, Zoë Conway; guitar and bouzouki player, Dónal Lunny; and button accordion master Máirtín O'Connor


Irish Art Valuation Day in Ballymaloe Grainstore

John de Vere White has been involved in the art world for over 40 years.  A large part of his career has been at the helm of the deVeres Art Auctions.  Apart from handling the sale by auction of Irish Art, John has been active in advising both individuals and corporate bodies in assembling collections. 

John together with his colleague Rory Guthrie will offer advice on the best strategy in putting together a collection.  He will try to point the right course to follow and discuss the various pitfalls to avoid. 


Christmas Decorations Course

Iona uses predominantly wild and garden materials when demonstrating for this course and she will guide you through the Ballymaloe style of foliage arranging and create seasonal displays and table centres.

Ballymaloe Glasshouse Dinner

Ballymaloe Cookery School's 'Ballymaloe Cookery School Glasshouse Dinner' was first held in the summer of 2012 and has now become an annual event, drawing food-lovers, artisan producers and chefs from all around the world. Held under the canopy of the Ballymaloe Cookery Schools extensive glashouses Chef Rory O'Connell and his culinary team dream up an inspiring menu based on seasonal, local and, of course, organic ingredients for 100 expectant guests.

Summer Flower Arranging

Using predominantly wild and garden flowers. Iona will demonstrate her own style of flower arranging used at Ballymaloe House to create seasonal displays. 

This one-day course offers an opportunity to explore the gardens and woodlands (weather permitting) and see how Iona uses the summer flowers from our gardens to create in house floral displays.

During this course you will be visiting the gardens - wet weather gear may be required.

Mike Denver In Concert with His Band

The hugely popular country singer Mike Denver has been selling out concert venues all over Ireland, both North and South.   He and his band make their first appearance in  Ballymaloe Grainstore with a show that will be a fantastic mix of Mike Denver hits, country classics, and middle of the road favourites. 
The 'Galway Boy' has recorded 14 hit albums and 10 DVDs.  His debut album, 'Wings to Fly' (2003) included tracks such as 'You’re my Best Friend', Johnny Cash’s 'Cry Cry Cry' and 'It’s a Dream Come True.' 


Louise Morrissey - In This Life

An acoustic concert with the folk and country music star and her brother, Norman Morrissey.

Louise Morrissey has long been regarded by both folk and country music enthusiasts as one of our vocal treasures.  The multi-award winner is known both nationally and internationally as one of Ireland’s greatest interpreters of song -  this combined with her unique guitar style make for a magical experience.
