This package celebrates Ballymaloe House being part of Failte Ireland's newly launched Ireland's Ancient East tourism initiative. 

Ballymaloe House is built onto an historic Norman keep and the house itself is steeped in history. With this package Rory Allen will take you on a private tour of Ballymaloe House, where he grew up, and will tell you personally about the history of the buildings and artefacts in and around the house and grounds.

Autumn Culinary Mid-week Break

Escape to Ballymaloe House for a mid week night of great food and comfort and visit the nearby Ballymaloe Cookery School to join the students for a delightful afternoon cookery demonstration either on the day of, or the day following your arrival. 

Ballymaloe's cookery demonstrations are world renowned and you will join students at the cookery school for one of their afternoon demonstrations and tastings by either Darina Allen, Rory O Connell or Rachel Allen (subject to availability).

Iona uses predominantly wild and garden materials when demonstrating for this course and she will guide you through the Ballymaloe style of foliage arranging and create seasonal displays and table centres.

Check in on Sunday afternoon, relax by the log fire and take a stroll around the gardens before enjoying our traditional Allen Family Sunday buffet dining experience. 

Our traditional Sunday buffet night dinner consists of a wide selection of fish and meat patés, shellfish (clams, cockles, mussels, crab, shrimps and lobster as available), locally smoked fish (eel, mackerel, salmon), home-produced vegetable salads and freshly cooked local meats (beef, pork, turkey, ham, lamb, ox tongue etc)
