Californian Wine Explorers Evening and Thanksgiving Dinner

California Wines will be hosting an informative tasting and talk, allowing you the opportunity to savour a selection of Californian wines especially chosen to reflect the diversity of this prosperous wine region. 

The tasting will be followed by a family style Thanksgiving dinner (accompanied with Californian wine) tables of 10 in the Long Room at Ballymaloe House.

FEAST / IDL Cocktail Workshop & Lunch - Friday 7th September

Join our head gardener Mags Coughlan and bar manager Traford Murphy in the Ballymaloe walled garden on Friday 7th September to forage seasonal cocktail ingredients and garnishes. 

Irish Distillers are generously sponsoring the spirits and spend the next hour learning tricks of the mixologist's trade with Traford in a cocktail making and tasting workshop. 

Lunch will be served in the Green Dining Room and Traford will be pairing cocktails with each of the 3 seasonal set menu courses.

Chateau Feely Wine Dinner

Sean and Caro Feely's long-held dream to go wine-farming was clinched in 2005 when they bought a rundown vineyard in South West France. Both were professionals in Dublin city with more experience in spreadsheets and presentations than in farming and fermentation. 

Now twelve years into the adventure they celebrate not a misty dream, but years of hard work and the inspiration of working with nature and nurturing their farm back to the full health and flavour of a living biodynamic soil.

Ballycotton Lifeboat Annual Gala Dinner

Ballymaloe House have supported Ballycotton Lifeboat with an annual fundraising gala dinner since opening their Yeats Room restaurant in 1964.  We are delighted to host this event every February, not only because we wish to support and raise awareness and funds to help the incredibly important work our local lifeboat station and crew do, but from a personal point of view, Myrtle and Ivan Allen happened to meet at a Ballycotton Lifeboat fundraising event at Ballymaloe House in the early 1940's when the house was then owned by the Lichfield family.

Dine in the Dark

Ballymaloe House are delighted to have registered to host a small dinner party table during this National Council of the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) national fundraising and awareness national initiative.  For a week in November 2017, restaurants across Ireland are challenging their guests to dine in the dark to raise awareness and vital funds for life changing sight loss services in Ireland. This immersive experience allows people to challenge their thinking around sight loss and the people affected by it.

In support of Taste Cork Week  we are hosting an exclusive whiskey tasting Supperclub on Thursday 19th October (max. 15) with special guest David McCabe, Production Technologist with Midleton Distillery's Master Blender Billy Leighton. 

Fine Midleton whiskey will be paired with every course of a delicious especially prepared menu and David will dine with you to host this very rare and informative Ballymaloe dining experience.
