A unique opportunity to meet Caro and Sean Feely to taste and learn about their awardwinning natural wine from Saussignan, Dordogne region of France from them. 


Sean and Caro Feely's long-held dream to go wine-farming was clinched in 2005 when they bought a rundown vineyard in South West France. Both were professionals in Dublin city with more experience in spreadsheets and presentations than in farming and fermentation. 

Now twelve years into the adventure they celebrate not a misty dream, but years of hard work and the inspiration of working with nature and nurturing their farm back to the full health and flavour of a living biodynamic soil. 

They are now sought after for advice on natural winegrowing and on wine tourism and regularly receive visiting winegrowers and classes from local agricultural colleges. For the Feely's, the secret of great wine is in the terroir - it's about the soil and the farming, not the winemaking. Natural winemaking automatically follows natural and respectful wine-farming.

Chateau Feely is one hour from Bordeaux city in Saussignac, Dordogne, and offers award-winning wines, wine school and tours and accommodation.

Sean and Caro will be hosting this very special Ballymaloe House wine event.  Caro will be talking about their personal wine-farming experiences and discussing the character of individual wines before joining guests to enjoy a thoughtfully paired Ballymaloe set menu.
