Myrtle Allen was thrilled to receive this prestigious Good Food Ireland TouRRoir Hall of Fame award for her outstanding contribution to Modern Irish cuisine.
Mrs Allen received the great honour of a Hall of Fame award from touRRoir / Good Food Ireland in April 2018. Fern Allen accepted the award on her mother's behalf and on receipt of the award Mrs Allen said “The restaurant at Ballymaloe could not exist without the support of our local farmers, fishermen, and all the producers of our wonderful ingredients which put Irish food firmly on the world map. This award means so much to me and all of us at Ballymaloe”
