Irish Art Valuation Day at The Ballymaloe Grainstore on Thursday 22nd September 2016
Valuation afternoon: 2pm - 6pm
Talk on "Collecting Art in the Current Market": 7pm - 7.45pm
John de Vere White has been involved in the art world for over 40 years. A large part of his career has been at the helm of the deVeres Art Auctions. Apart from handling the sale by auction of Irish Art, John has been active in advising both individuals and corporate bodies in assembling collections.
John together with his colleague Rory Guthrie will offer advice on the best strategy in putting together a collection. He will try to point the right course to follow and discuss the various pitfalls to avoid.
deVeres will hold its most important Irish Art Sale for some years in Dublin on the 22nd November. Highlights for this sale include work by Sean Scully, Tony O'Malley, John Shinnors and Camille Souter, examples of which will be on view. In addition both John and Rory will be available to advise on the market value of paintings you may wish to have appraised at no charge and without obligation.
