Dining events at Ballymaloe House Hotel are a celebration of exceptional food, great wine, local ingredients, and warm hospitality, offering guests an immersive culinary experience in the heart of East Cork. Each event in our country house hotel is unique, from intimate wine dinners, and seasonal dining events to collaborations with renowned chefs. One of the standout events is the annual Wine Tasting Weekend, taking place each February, where guests enjoy a weekend of wine talks and tastings led by wine experts.

EXCLUSIVE Wine dinner

On Thursday, 29th May, we will host the next event in our wine dinner series, in collaboration with Tindal Wines. The evening promises an exceptional selection of wines, thoughtfully chosen by Simon Tyrrell, paired with a five-course menu prepared by Executive Chef Dervilla O’Flynn and her team.

The menu includes Garden Radish with Taramasalata, Wexford Scallops, Slow-Roasted Ballymaloe Farm Pork Confit, an Irish Cheese Selection, and an Almost Molten Chocolate Tart.

Simon Tyrrell is the co-founder of Les Deux Cols—an eight-hectare vineyard located in the hills above the village of Saint Gervais in the Côtes du Rhône region of France. Throughout the evening, Simon will share insights from his extensive winemaking experience, including time spent at Domaine Stéphane Ogier and Château Terre Forte.

Guests are invited to arrive at 6.30pm, with dinner commencing at 7pm, for an evening that strikes the perfect balance between exceptional wines and celebrated farm-to-table cuisine.

This intimate event is ideal for food and wine lovers looking to deepen their wine knowledge, all in the beautiful surroundings of East Cork.

Pop-up Dinner with Fadi Kattan May 16th

As part of this year’s Ballymaloe Festival of Food, we are delighted to welcome Fadi Kattan for a special pop-up dinner on Friday, May 16th, at 7pm . Joining Executive Head Chef Dervilla O’Flynn and her team, Fadi will showcase the flavours of Palestine, bringing a taste of his modern Palestinian restaurant – Akub in Notting Hill, London, to Ballymaloe House for one unforgettable night.

Palestinian wine will be available on the night, carefully selected by Anna Patrowicz – a sommelier and beverage designer inspired by Palestinian flavours.

Pop-Up Lunch with Jeremy Lee 18th May

We are delighted to welcome celebrated chef Jeremy Lee to Ballymaloe House for a special pop-up lunch on Sunday, May 18th at 1pm.

Join the wonderful Jeremy Lee along with Dervilla O’Flynn and her talented team for a unique Sunday lunch celebrating the best of seasonal Irish produce with a modern British touch. Jeremy will bring a flavour of his iconic Soho restaurant, Quo Vadis, to East Cork for this one-off event.

Jeremy joined the Hart brothers as Chef Proprietor of Quo Vadis in 2012. Before that, he led the kitchen at Blueprint Café in the Design Museum, founded by Sir Terence Conran on the South Bank of the Thames. Throughout his career, Jeremy has worked with some of the most influential figures in British food, including Simon Hopkinson and Alastair Little,  pioneers of the modern British food movement.
