The Ballymaloe Festival of Food is a vibrant celebration of exceptional cuisine, following its journey from soil and sea to plate. Ireland’s beloved food festival returns from May 16th–18th, marking six decades of outstanding food and hospitality, renowned both at home and abroad. Held in the Ballymaloe Grainstore and its grounds, this year’s festival highlights the best of Ireland’s thriving food and drink community.
Over the course of the weekend, guests can enjoy a variety of engaging activities designed to inspire and educate food lovers of all ages. World-class chefs from Ireland and beyond will gather in East Cork to share their expertise and delicious recipes with festival-goers.

As part of this year’s Ballymaloe Festival of Food, we are delighted to welcome Fadi Kattan for a special pop-up dinner on Friday, May 16th, at 7 PM. Joining Executive Head Chef Dervilla O’Flynn and her team, Fadi will showcase the flavours of Palestine, bringing a taste of Akub - his modern Palestinian restaurant in Notting Hill to Ballymaloe House for one unforgettable night.
Palestinian wine will be available on the night, carefully selected by Anna Patrowicz – a sommelier and beverage designer inspired by Palestinian flavours. Dinner tickets are €130 per person, including a 5-course dinner and are available via the link below.
Fadi Kattan, a Franco-Palestinian chef and hotelier, is a leading voice in modern Palestinian cuisine. After studying hotel management at Institut Vatel and working in Paris and London, he returned to Palestine to join his family’s business. His passion for cooking led him to open his restaurant despite political and economic challenges.
Fadi is a partner and executive chef at Akub, London's first modern Palestinian restaurant, which opened in Notting Hill in January 2023. In May 2024, he released Bethlehem, earning widespread praise. In November 2024, he co-founded Louf in Toronto, bringing his take on Palestinian flavours to Canada.

Join the wonderful Jeremy Lee along with Dervilla O’Flynn and her team, for a unique dining experience. Jeremy will bring a taste of modern British cooking from his historic restaurant in Soho - Quo Vadis to Ballymaloe House for an elegant 3-course Sunday lunch. Originally from Dundee, Scotland, Jeremy grew up in a home where exceptional cooking was the norm. His parents and grandmother instilled in him the value of sourcing quality ingredients, a principle he applies at Quo Vadis, where his seasonal, fresh, and distinctly British menus reflect his love for great produce.
His accolades include the 2012 Catey for Best Restaurant Menu and the 2013 Tatler Award for Best Kitchen. In 2018, he was listed in The Evening Standard’s ‘Progress1000: London’s Most Influential People – Tastemakers: Eat & Drink.’
Jeremy has written for various publications and appeared on Great British Menu and Could You Eat an Elephant? His first cookbook, Cooking: Simply and Well for One or Many, was published in 2022. In December 2023, he was awarded an MBE for services to the food industry.
