Food & Beverage Supervisor

We are seeking a motivated candidate with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills to join our award-winning team at Ballymaloe House Hotel, in a full-time role of a Food & Beverage Supervisor.

The Role

Food & Beverage Supervisor will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to the guests and assist the Food & Beverage Manager with the daily management of dining room operations and supervision of the team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, basic knowledge of F&B operations, problem-solving skills, customer service orientated, team player with a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities:

To ensure that the restaurant is fully prepared for service.

Ensure that meals are served efficiently, with a minimum of fuss and delay.

Ensure that guest needs and requirements are met and deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner if they arise.

Promote good team relations in the F&B team ensuring fairness and consistency.

Manage and monitor food and beverage quality and service in the restaurant.

Lead, support, inform and guide team members in all restaurant activities and operations.

Conduct onboarding of new F&B staff and ensure they complete the SOP training.

Conduct training within the department to ensure consistency of the required standards.

In the absence of a manager ensure all sections are allocated appropriately amongst the team.

Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance.

Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving customer complaints.

Ensure team compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.

Seeks ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs.

Ensure cleaning checklists and opening/closing procedures are carried out and completed.

Assist in driving and implementing company initiatives as assigned by management.

Evaluate and highlight issues to management and suggest improvements accordingly.

Other duties:

Report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.

Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.

Ensure that all reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests, and all persons on the premises.

Report and where possible act on incidents of accident or damage.

Attend all training courses as notified to you by management.

To observe our environmental policy

Carry out any other duties as may be notified to you by management.
