Our pool is one of the few outdoor swimming pools available in hotels in County Cork. The pool opens during the warmer months, normally from May to September, and is heated by our biomass boiler.
If you are staying during the summer months, make sure to take a refreshing dip in our outdoor pool and then relax poolside with a favourite book or beverage to sip on - an experience we would highly recommend you enjoy during your stay.
Located within the garden grounds on the right side of the house, designed in a unique shape. The pool includes a large shallow end, a small paddling pool and a deep 2-metre end on the other side. The swimming pool is not supervised and there is no lifeguard, so any families using this facility must always supervise children.
The pool is environmentally friendly, heated by our biomass boiler that is fueled with waste straw.
Outside the summer season, from October to April, the swimming pool is closed to the guests and given to nature. From mid-October, our groundskeeper Tobias will empty it to half, and it becomes a home to various aquatic wildlife and in the spring a home to hundreds of tadpoles.
